We have always had a passion for people and especially children. We never know what we are going to wake up and decide to do from one day to the next.
Where our pain began…
Our pain began when we had four miscarriages in a two year time frame only to find out that we would not be able have our own children one day.
Then John finding out that his twin brother was diagnosed with ALS. We know that God has a plan for us and we have learned to trust the process along the way.
From our place of pain we established our slogan “From Pain to Purpose.”

Fun Facts About John and Kenya
John and Kenya have been married for 14 years.
They strive to put God first, each other second, and family/framily third.
Kenya loves coffee with a little bit of Jesus and John loves sweet tea.
Prior to moving to Johns Creek, GA, the Hughes resided in Charleston, SC.
They have two dogs: Duke and Noble.
Although they have not been blessed with children yet, they feel extremely blessed with so many other people and children in their lives.
Where Did "We Are The Hughes" Come From?
A little less than three years ago, John and Kenya started a Facebook and Instagram page called, “We Are The Hughes.” From that page we have birthed a radio show, created some pretty awesome relationships and spearheaded several community service projects.
However, the most important thing that we have done is establish another platform to spread the love of Jesus.
We are so excited to share this journey with each of you.
